Josh is from Liverpool and Danielle is Australian-Israeli. After their wedding plans in Israel fell apart during the Covid era, they followed their gut to Greece. They wanted a small, fun, friends-only celebration with a whole place to themselves, so they planned a wedding in Limni, on the island of Evia, at the Selina. How did you meet?
“We met while we were working together as students at a startup in Tel Aviv. Josh is originally from Liverpool, England, and Danielle is Australian-Israeli.”
Josh & Danielle
Why a wedding in Greece, and why Limni?
“We fell in love with Greece on our first trip together, to Crete. Then, after a few more visits, we started to toy with the idea of getting married there one day. So after a failed attempt at a conventional wedding hall in Israel, we decided to follow our gut. We contacted Sirtaki to find out if a wedding in Greece could really happen.”

What were the challenges?
“We faced many challenges when we were planning our wedding in Israel. But from the second we contacted Sirtaki, the process was seamless. All of a sudden, everything became possible, and we discovered that our dreams could become reality.”
Josh & Danielle
When Danielle and Josh first came to us, they were worn out from the challenges and the heartbreak of planning a wedding in the Covid era. So we knew we had to get them to Greece. That way, they could relax, get excited and feel comfortable enough to dream big again.
What was it like planning with our team?
“From the second we spoke with Anat, we understood each other. First, she confirmed that what we wanted was possible: a small wedding with friends only, intimate and fun, with a whole place to ourselves. Then it was time to scout locations, so we flew to Evia. Yonathan picked us up from the airport and drove us for miles over the next couple of days to see the venues. As a result, the excitement grew as we watched the plan become reality. In the end, we chose the Selina in Limni, because it had everything: a beautiful beach, a pool, lots of space and enough rooms for all our guests.”
Josh & Danielle
A pre-wedding visit to Greece is one of the key stages of planning with us. After all, so much of a wedding is a feeling. You can have a clear picture in your head, and then the feeling on site just isn’t right. That’s why touring venues, meeting vendors and getting to know each other builds trust. As a result, it lets us create a wedding that feels like you.

What did you enjoy most about the planning?
“We loved the weekly updates from Anat and Yonathan. We also loved how relaxed we could be while they finalized the vendors, the menus and the schedules. And whenever we had an opinion, they listened and made it happen, or they gave us their professional advice, which turned out just perfect.”
Josh & Danielle
What mattered most to you?
“The design was important to Danielle, but it was as simple as giving Sirtaki the inspiration, and then they took care of the rest. We also really wanted to look after our guests and make sure they had a good, worry-free time. So a lot of thought went into transportation, accommodation and scheduling.”
Josh & Danielle
Danielle’s vision was quirky, floral and fun, so bringing it to life was a complete joy for our team. In addition, their two cultures came together in everything, down to the flavors on the menu and the intimate, family style of the weekend.

Tell us about the wedding weekend in Limni.
“Our wedding was on the second day of the weekend. The afternoon before, as our guests arrived, we all enjoyed a beautiful dinner where everyone got to know each other. After that, we danced to our favorite techno music until late. So by the wedding day, it already felt like we were one big family. First, we spent time with everyone by the pool, with great music and lunch. Then, in the evening, came the chuppah. Anat and Yonathan managed everything, the schedule was perfect, and we felt like true guests of honor. The food was also incredible all weekend, and all our guests went crazy for it.”

The moment from your Limni wedding you’ll never forget?
“The chuppah, without a doubt. It was absolutely beautiful, overlooking the sea and lit by a magical sunset. Our friends also wrote speeches and shared them, and that made it incredibly special.”

Your advice for couples planning a destination wedding?
“First, trust your planners. Then share your wishes at the beginning, and let your planners do the rest. Also, only invite people you want to spend time with, because that lets you be present and really enjoy the magic.”
Josh & Danielle
The moment we’ll never forget came after their first look and pre-wedding shoot. Danielle, looking flawless, casually mentioned that she could use a nap. So we pulled off a little magic. She settled on the bed fully dressed, with her hair and makeup intact, for a 30-minute power nap. Then we walked her down to the beach for the ceremony. Honestly, seeing her that calm in the middle of the wedding rush was the best feeling. Danielle and Josh, it was a pleasure.

Planning a Wedding Like Josh & Danielle’s?
Here’s what made this wedding in Limni work:
- A whole place to yourselves: one venue with a beach, a pool and rooms for every guest.
- Friends only: a smaller guest list means more time with each person.
- A welcome dinner first: so by the wedding day, your guests already feel like family.
- A visit before you decide: tour the venues with our team, and then choose by feeling.
