Event drinks by season is the simplest way to make a bar feel right. Spring loves bubbles, like a Kir Royal with blueberries. Summer calls for ice-cold sangria and a Mediterranean mojito with a splash of ouzo. Fall is harvest time, built around Greek wine, and winter warms up with rakomelo by the fire. Here’s what our bar team pours in Greece, season by season.
| Season | What we pour |
|---|---|
| Spring | Kir Royal with blueberries, Aperol Spritz, crisp Greek whites |
| Summer | Summer sangria, Mediterranean mojito with ouzo, gin and tonic |
| Fall | Greek reds after the harvest, tsipouro, Mastic cocktails |
| Winter | Rakomelo, Greek reds, Mastic served neat |
| All year | A Greek touch, a creative alcohol-free menu, water on every table |

What should we serve at a spring event?
Spring is light and bright, so start with bubbles. A Kir Royal with a few blueberries dropped in turns a simple glass into a little show, and an Aperol Spritz brings that sunny orange to the cocktail hour. For the table, crisp Greek whites like Assyrtiko or Malagousia match the season’s fresh menus.

What works best in the Greek summer?
Summer weddings in Greece usually start after 7pm, when the heat drops, and the party runs late, so drinks need to be cold and refreshing.
- Summer sangria: packed with fresh fruit and finished with an edible garnish.
- Mediterranean mojito: our version gets a splash of ouzo, and it changes everything.
- Gin and tonic: a top-shelf gin, a crisp tonic, a highball glass and a slice of lemon. Simple and classic.
- My Big Fat Greek Lemonade: ouzo, Sprite, lemon juice and zest, and a little sugar. Not for kids!
Put a water station at the bar and keep refilling the bottles on every table all night. In the Greek summer, it’s the drink your guests will thank you for the next morning.

What should we pour at a fall event?
Fall in Greece is harvest season, and it’s the moment to put Greek wine at the center. Reds like Agiorgitiko from Nemea or Xinomavro from Naoussa pair beautifully with heartier fall menus. Add tsipouro with the meze, and a Mastic Martini for something guests have never tasted before.

What do you serve at a winter event?
Winter is about warmth. Rakomelo, raki or tsipouro warmed with honey and spices, is the Greek way to welcome guests in from the cold, perfect for a mountain wedding in Arachova or Pelion. Pour deep Greek reds at the table, and serve Mastic neat and ice-cold after dinner.

Which drinks work in every season?
- A Greek touch: an ouzo shot for the couple at every table, Greek wines, spirits and beers.
- Mastic: a Greek liqueur made from the resin of the mastic tree. Most guests have never tasted it, so it becomes a conversation piece.
- Alcohol-free: guests expect more than orange juice or cola. Creative mocktails, elegant glassware and real garnishes, in every season.

When should we plan the drinks menu?
Shape the drinks together with the menu and the season, about 3 to 4 months ahead, and lock the final list a few weeks before the event.
